I have the Highlander TV Series and I am having a huge problem with Plex miss-labeling cross season episodes as duplicate. I have done the “Plex Dance” to remove the series and add it back. Plex still flags the episodes as duplicate.

Have you checked your files for embedded metadata that might be misleading Plex?
FYI, Subler is a good Mac based tool for viewing & modifying metadata in mp4/m4v files.
I downloaded Subler and looked at the MetaData and it appears to be different. What else could be the reason why Plex things these are the same episode?
Which directory did you add to your TV library?
It should be /Volumes/ChannelsDVR/TVShows/.
If it is /Volumes/ChannelsDVR/ it will cause problems with Plex.

It is a TV Show library, correct?
Not a Movie or Other Videos library.
Plex does not support TV Shows in a Movie library or visa-versa. That will cause problems with recognition & organization.
In addition to FordGuy61’s question… what exact scanner/agent do you have configured for that library? If you’re not using the new Plex TV Series scanner/agent… can you please also share a screenshot of the configuration of that agent under Settings > [Server Name] > Agents (e.g. Shows > TheTVDB or Shows > The Movie Database).
Correct it is a TV Show Library and I only put TV Shows there.
I was using the scanner/agent “Plex Series Scanner and TheTVDB agent”. I have since switched to the “Plex TV Series Scanner and Plex TV Series Agent”. I re-did the “Plex Dance” and it seems to have resolved the problem.
