CSR upload error

I get the following error message in my logs after uninstalling Plex, nuking all Plex folders, and reinstalling Plex to fix a hardware transcoding problem.

CERT: Error acquiring new certificate: Failed to upload CSR: 429, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <errors> <error code="1003" message="API rate limit exceeded"/> </errors>

I’ve already tried renaming my server, as well as restarting it. What is the appropriate fix?

You have simply done too many actions (befriending, unfriending, sharing, unsharing etc.pp.) at once with your account. So you are now forced to take a pause of a few hours.
