Dolby Atmos not available on Apple TV. Guess this is not in scope? Also no Photos, only Movies are shown

Plex doesn’t support Dolby Atmos on any Apple Client at this time and Plex has stated that they are removing Photos and Music from the new main app clients and asking users to try their new standalone clients like PlexAmp (Great for Music) and the new Photos Beta.

There’s been no commitment from Plex for Atmos on Apple. The new clients do support Multichannel Spatial Audio, but not Atmos.
We may see streaming Dolby Digital Plus Atmos (ie DD5.1+ Atmos) in the future like other apps provide, but currently Apple itself does not allow for TrueHD+Atmos passthrough on tvOS or iOS devices.

Infuse is then Plan B or switch the box 
All my SRT external subtitles (which is all of my subtitles) show the HTML tag when playing in the preview plex app, this does not show up on the current iOS app or any other version of the app I use. Have you seen something similar?

Audio playback using iPhone Speakers has low volume and phone volume must be nearly maximized to hear. Affects multiple codecs and channel layouts (stereo, 5.1, 7.1). New in Build 792 (Preview 5)
This is fixed on 2025.7.0 (888) from what I have tested

2025.7.0 Adds a Plex Home User selector at launch. Needs some UI refinement for layout and screen size, but it is functional.
I see nobody else talking about it so maybe it’s somehow just me… but I have no option to auto skip intros and credits any more. The options still come up to manually skip, but I can’t set those player experiences settings globally any more.
Says it’s coming soon.

Looks to me like they rushed this out to get to a point where they can start making the money on the remote watching feature, even if its still buggy and missing features in the existing app!

The new app is so ■■■■, we can’t have default browser tabs, content loading so long so what i see is only this. There is lack of functions like skip and no more polish language. Bring back fast plex app!!!

I live in the Middle East where plex live tv and on demand doesn’t work.
Due to plex’s live tv not working here even my own live tv is not working.
Also to note why are these two options available in the new updated app as they don’t work for users outside US or users in geo restricted countries ?

Who released this in beta form. No PIP or tap to zoom. I have 20% of my screen black box around it. No ability to go PIP to keep watching and text people back now. Wtf

This was definitely not ready for a public release but it was obvious from the first couple of previews that they had no interest in feedback or refining the app, they just wanted to find outright bugs. Most of what users have found as usability bugs are just poor design choices.
Even trying to use Continue Watching is useless. The homepage is cropped at 20 items. My Continue Watching is waaaay longer than that. But there’s no unified “view all” option now. Only way to find if you have new episodes to watch is to navigate the awful menus to individual libraries, scroll way down the page to actually find the Continue Watching row, scroll all the way across to the end, hit “view all”, scroll down and… it’s still an incomplete list. And it’s per library not unified. So when new seasons of shows start or I want to pick up something I’ve not watched in a while I’ve no way of seeing what I have in progress. Just horrible, horrible design and reduced functionality - which is pretty much the mantra of the redesign.
