After upgrading to the latest available version of the Plex media server in my TrueNAS jail Plex stopped using my custom certificate. Instead it installed a certificate from Lets Encrypt for *.2b292ae6159d42ffb4cc32c03da2c6d0.plex.direct.
In the Plex settings → Network I added this:
Custom certificate location: /usr/local/plexdata-plexpass/cert/keyStore.p12
Custom certificate domain: My internal domain
Which has worked for a long time but now it doesn’t seem to pick it up. Tried to remove the certificate and add it again, tried to recreate the keyStore.p12 file, nothing worked.
Did something change in later versions of the plex media server regarding this? I was running on I think a year old version of the media server.
