With a recent update, the ability to create a custom filter and still select duplicates disappeared. Is there any plan to give some way to view duplicates when using a custom filter? Perhaps by adding “duplicates exist” in the custom filter options.
You can still activate a simple filter AND the ‘duplicates’
I am told there is an intention to bring in those fields to the ‘custom filter’ list as well. Sorry, no time frame for actual implementation.
Thank you for your reply.
Yeah, true, it’s still there for simple filters.
But I have a lot of 4K movies where I also keep a 720p or 1080p version as well. So these will always show as duplicates. I have a tag on all these movies, so I can do a custom filter on what is NOT in the collection for this tag and used to be able to show duplicates (which excludes the intentional duplicates) in order to see
what I need to clean up.
So, my custom filter looked like that, and I could still choose Duplicates.
I just updated to the latest Plex version and am happy to see that this issue is resolved. I can once again choose to view duplicates while viewing a custom filter.
Thanks!
