Sorry, I wasn’t sure what to tag this with.
I know Tautulli isn’t something Plex is responsible for, but with the integration of the two and Plex effectively sponsoring it, I’m hoping someone may be able to help. I’ve spoken with a/the Tautulli dev and for all intents and purposes it should be working.
I have Tautulli set up to terminate 4K streams if the video is being transcoded - this works wonderfully, but the portion that isn’t and for the life of me I have no idea why - the termination message isn’t working. Plex just hangs for a few moments then spits out a generic error message instead of the crafted message. The message tells the user why the stream was killed, so it’s fairly critical.
This same message works fine if I manually copy/paste it into the dialogue box for stream termination, but for whatever reason when using the script it doesn’t work. According to the Tautulli logs it should be, and I see no errors in Plex and the stream does terminate - so it’s like the text for the message is tossed away.

I’ve been testing this on my Nvidia Shield as well as the web app. I got the web app to work once and only once and even then it didn’t proc for a good 10-15 seconds.
Update It seems to work occassionally in the web app, Plex for Windows the stream just cacks out and you’re sent back to the Plex dashboard. The Nvidia shield just shows a generic error occurred.
Custom message also aren’t working on mobile.
