I cannot see it called out anywhere but I’m trying to figure out the scope and what the metadata provider Plex Local Media actually does ?
Is it scoped to local embedded metadata & local assets ? Testing I have done is inconclusive which is why I’m asking.
For context, I have a custom agent setup as follows …
… and I noticed that when I done this embedded metadata within mp4 files was used by plex even though Prefer local metadata was disabled within the advanced setting of the library. I did see a reference to this in the initial post from the Plex NFO Agent Forum Preview but I would have expected the advanced library settings to override all others. Is this a bug or is it designed like this ?
Also, if I remove Plex Local Media then local assets (artwork) are not picked up, again even with Use local assets enabled on the advanced settings of the library.
