It has been a while since I originally set my Plex up, and I’m doing a reinstall due to a few computer issues. I primarily use my Plex account for my music collection. After a painstaking process to update all the metadata in my almost 12000 song music collection, I would like to favor THAT metadata over any other Plex may “search” for. Would that setting be local media assets or personal media that I would need to choose?
When you edit your library, on the Advanced tab you’ll see this:
The “Plex Music” scanner is the newest, and “Plex Music Scanner” is the legacy agent. The agent settings in your screenshot are legacy features, and only apply if you are using the legacy “Plex Music Scanner” scanner (I wish they would put “Legacy” in the name on that dropdown).
