G’day,
As we all know the AppleTV does not support DTS but does support EAC3. Is there a reason that Plex always chooses to transcode to AC3 even though EAC3 can better accommodate the higher bitrate of DTS?
If I create a custom profile that eliminates AC3, DTS is transcoded to EAC3 as desired, but if AC3 is added anywhere in the transcode target list, even last, Plex will choose AC3 over anything else.
Any reason why Plex does not respect the order/preferences of the target codec list and use EAC3 if it’s listed first?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
