Custom season title in metadata files

Hi!
1.27.2.5929 version of plex on linux here.

I have some TV series in my library in which i want to change season titles from standard Season 0, Season 1, to some custom names.

I can do it via plex, click that little edit icon and it’s changed, but from time to time I’m doing migrations of some shows from one server to another with different versions and OS, so each time I must change it manually.

So my question is: Is there any option to setup seasons titles in metadata files just like with custom season posters and backgrounds? To setup custom poster I just need to create SeasonXX.jpg file and it’s loaded automatically and I want to do this same with season titles to not change this manually every time.

No there is no way to do this.

So maybe in database there are some files I need to edit to change season titles without using web interface? In that case I could write myself, a script or program that will eventually do that for me.

We don’t recommend modifying the database directly. It’s better if you call the API. If you use the web interface once with the developer console showing you can see the request that web makes to PMS to save the title.
