I use a reverse proxy and have a custom server access url setup in the networking tab. Remote Access is also enabled. Accessing plex remotely via my custom server access url in a browser works perfectly.
However, the iOS mobile app is ignoring the custom server access url and keeps attempting to connect to my plex via the IP under Remote Access settings, which is, due to the reverse proxy, completely wrong and bounces off my firewall.
Is there anything else I can configure which will force the iOS mobile app (and other clients) to only connect via custom server access urls when remote?
Similar to some other threads I saw around remote access, this used to work flawlessly in the past. I’m unsure when it stopped working since I’m working from home these days and use it less remotely now.
