Plex Remote Access does not work from Android/iOS mobile apps

I’m trying to get Plex remote access working on my Plex server. Currently going to https://plex.mydomain.com from any web browser (On Linux, windows, MacOS, iOS) works and I can play my content at any resolution. If I connect to the server through the iOS or Android application then I get a message of “Video quality is limited since you’re not directly connected to your server” error. I don’t understand how this can half work.

The one weird thing is on the server “remote access” settings page the server cannot find its’ local or external IP address.

Yes, I have port forwarded 32400 to the local IP (192.168.5.201) from my router. Going to :32400 works. I have also ingressed connections over port 443 to port 32400 so I can access it via https://plex.mydomain.com. All of this works, only the mobile apps fail to directly. connect. Does anyone have any ideas as to why?
