Hello. I’m new to Plex and have an extensive classical music library that I have linked to Plex. Is there a way to add custom tags to the music files? I do not see a Composer field, nor a field I can co-opt to contain this information. It would be very helpful to see all of the recordings I have of a specific classical piece by a composer. Thanks.
This is, unfortunately, one of the most glaring deficiencies in Plex’s music support. They do not account for the composer, or several other tags that are essential for good support of classical music.
There is a feature request that addresses much of this. I encourage you to vote for it, but at this point I wouldn’t hold my breath.
