Customize home screen? chrome browser, windows 10

Since Plex 1.31, “Continue Watching” is on top, I want to come back (it was bottom before).
I hate my new home screen now :frowning:

Please help.

(I use Plex for Windows)

There is no way to move Continue Watching currently. May I ask why you want it at the bottom. Did you also move On Deck to the bottom?

Because I have a massive empty zone on top and it’s ugly! And something I don’t want to continue my TV show for a while and I don’t want that Plex reminds me this constantly.
How i move “On Deck” and what is it exactly ? Sorry.

Please give your users the choice to customise their home screen, it’s important (I think).

If you don’t want to watch something anymore you can remove it from Continue Watching via the menu on the bottom right corner of that item.

Alright, it’s better than nothing but this is not what I wanted and i sure you know it!
I know that it is not you who decides but I think it’s a regression, it’s a BAD decision.
Thank you for your quick response BigWheel !

For ‘Other Videos’ Recently Added has never shown up on the Home Screen - even though it’s Pinned, exactly where I wanted it and every one of them falls within the last 52 weeks - the duration I set:

I had to add ‘Unplayed Videos’ just to be able to see something.

hmm. I think it has to do with Merge Recently Added Items. I just enabled that and see the same. Thanks for report.

Here’s a shocking image I was going to use for something else, but I’ll use it here to remind folks that Plex has ‘RE-ENABLED’ Online Media Sources in the last update:

I was going to say something totally out of character for me, but just in the Nick of Time, I checked OMS and found them all wide open. Got that back under my control now and that line is gone.

Incidentally - on Chrome (ALL Ad-Ons Disabled)/Windows 10, the settings are sticking - for what that’s worth.

not sure why you are reporting that here since it has no real relation to home screen customizations. There have already been reports of this and as I mentioned in one of them which has been linked to in others, It was not intentional and we are looking into it.

When I know more or there has been a fix I will post about that in one of those topics

I have to admit, I’m pretty frustrated. I just updated Server and Win10 Desktop Player, as I regularly do, following the Plex development. But what has happened here??? There was a reasonably working customization scheme for the home screen. Now, it’s not only a mess in configuration, but it seems to lack most essential customization features, I got used to. Now, the Home Screen shows a lot of unwanted stuff, just because I have pinned a library to the side bar??? And the customization matrix with about fifteen different libraries is just a mess. Letting alone, that I do have no control about behavior of external libraries. Who wants such a clusterf… on her or his homescreen?

I was so happy to see smart collections becoming true. Only to find myself confronted with a mess on my home screen. Why? Oh, why??? This truly ruined my fun with Plex.

But I’m sure, Plex wouldn’t have released such a feature, if there weren’t ways to achieve what I had before. I’m probably just too stupid.

This is what I’d like to achieve:
About 15 libraries (internal, external) pinned in a certain order in side bar.
On Home Screen: Currently Viewed (those few large highlighted movies, series, that one had started but not yet finished), Recently Added Movies, Recently Added Series, Recently Played Movies, Recently Played Movies. In this order and nothing else.
Then if a user of the server feels like it, I’d like her or him to be able to add stuff to home to their own liking.

Damn, I am so frustrated. How about the company who manufactured your dinner table came to your home, removed the table and painted your walls in hamsterassholeviolet without even asking before? And when asking why, the tell you it was a service and you have to be thankful.

Is this the Plex experience I will have to get used to?
