When you access a TV series, it plays the theme music in the background, this is a nice feature. For collections (movies, TV, Audio, etc) this would also be a nice feature. Perhaps a folder where you load MP3s on to the server and then in collections a spot to select the music the server detects? Or even simpler. Make a folder in the library named “backgroundthemes”. If you have a collection called “Star Trek” and you place an MP3 in that folder called “Star Trek” the server automatically plays the music as the background music for that collection.
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to add custom theme songs to collections. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
