Personal Media Server owners now have the ability to customize the Logo and Square Artwork for the titles in their libraries similar to Posters and Backgrounds using the Plex Web app. You can now upload your own logo or select a different one available from our metadata providers.
- Logos are used throughout the new Plex experience available on Roku, iOS, and Android Mobile. You can now add, change, or unselect a logo for: movies, shows, playlists, and collections. If you unselect a logo, the app will display a plain text title instead.
- Movie and show logos are visible on home and detail pages.
- Collection logos will display on the collection page
- Playlist logos will display on the playlist page (mobile only for now)
- Square artwork is used as the background on movie / show detail pages, collection pages, and playlists on our iOS and Android Mobile apps.
PMS will also use any local artwork assets for these types similar to the artwork types previously supported. See these articles for more info on how to name these files: Local Media Assets: Movies / TV Shows
This feature requires the following minimum app versions:
- Plex Media Server 1.43.0 (currently in beta)
- Plex Web 4.155.0-0aa129a
- Plex for iOS 2025.30.0
