Being a netflix limited series the title should be “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” but instead someone over at tvdb has now made this a multi season series and named it Monsters → https://thetvdb.com/series/monster-the-jeffrey-dahmer-story

Not sure why plex is defaulting to using tvdb title naming for this series (tmdb is more accurate) so I wanted to call it out. Plex can manually fix-up their back-end if they deem it appropriate.

It appears there will be a new season, The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.
If that is the case it would make sense to drop Dahmer - from the show name.

Sure but that’s not always how plex handles it. As an example, look at

https://watch.plex.tv/en-GB/show/the-haunting and https://watch.plex.tv/en-GB/show/the-haunting-of-bly-manor were tvdb incorrectly lists them as one series with multiple seasons The Haunting - TheTVDB.com

I’d advocate this series should follow that naming.

I believe we always prefer the TVDB title on shows if the appropriate translation exists.
