Darker background for Plex Preview on Roku?

Is the grey background for the current Plex Preview for Roku a permanent change or a temporary experiment?

Your only other option is ‘High Contrast’. <—in Settings/Experience.
It’s pretty much black.

High contrast option is also in the Non-Preview version.
I’m asking if the default in the Preview is also going to stay so dark, rather than the gradated wash that it used to be (and still is on the Non-Preview version).
