It’s not the biggest deal, and I know I’m running an older Roku (maybe I should update finally but it’s worked fine for about 12 years), but (I think ever since the late Plex update) the Plex app is stuck in High Contrast mode - regardless of how many times I toggle the setting checkbox on and off, quit and restart the app and even delete and re-install it. I have not tried restarting my Roku box. Why do I want to do this? the ability to see the all the custom artwork backgrounds that I’ve uploaded to my server and had set to “dimmed” mode in the app settings. The ability to toggle the HC setting seems to come and go with various updates.
Are Roku Plex app updates combined connedted to Plex server updates? They seem to be…
Thanks for any thoughts ;o
Just to resolve this issue, for others who might be experiencing it, it turns out that the issue was a result of my very dated Roku 2 player - something I had long suspected. As soon as I upgraded to a Roku Premier 4K, the problem of the Plex Roku app not allowing me to apply the non high contrast mode and thus not being able to view my uploaded (or the default) background art work in reg contrast dimmed mode, was solved.
Not to mention, my Roku/Plex experience was improved in every way. Super fast Roku remote pairing (voice remote and TV volume/on off command), where it was lagging badly with my old player. One happy camper here.
