Dashboard freezes on Plex-web

Server Version#:Windows Version 1.15.0.659
Player Version#: 3.87.2
Since the latest version, Plex web seems to “freeze” on the dashboard page. I saw in the release notes, “Throttle real time bandwidth dashboard graph network requests to avoid overloading some servers” – just wondering if that’s part of the problem. The app worked properly with the previous version (for me, at least)

The rest of the app works as snappy as ever, but going to the dashboard, the page basically stops for a second, then works for an instant, then stops again, etc, etc. Even clicking on home requires patience for it to catch up. Right now I’m just playing MP3 music to a Roku, but noticed it last night when two remote users were streaming videos.

The local version works properly on the “Now Playing” screen. Showing preview images, etc. I can get you logs, not sure what kind you want for this problem.

Which is what I’m using, as mentioned in the post after “Player Version#”. The local app works just fine.

As far as I know, there’s no way to use an old version of the hosted web app.

just showing there is an existing thread, so if there is a problem with the version they just said was fixed, then perhaps the conversation should be there.

Apologies. I didn’t have the problem with high ram usage with the previous version so I thought this was new. Bet apparently the fix has introduced me to the problem. I see the ram spiking way up now when I go to the dashboard, and was not a problem before. Thanks, shall continue discussion there.

I am having the same issue through Chrome. A few days ago my Dashboard starting freezing every 5 seconds or so. Everything else is as snappy as always.

I just figured out when I disable ‘Real Time’ Bandwidth monitoring then the Dashboard page does not freeze anymore.

Is this a bug anyone else is experiencing using Chrome on Windows 10?

how do you turn it off

There’s a drop-down menu that you can choose different time periods or real time.

Restarting server solve the issue for me.

problem with the restart is its a temporary fix. The issue comes back

A bug was fixed in the hosted version of the web app https://app.plex.tv/desktop

But a complete fix for the issue is only possible with an updated version of the server.
As far as I know, PMS version 1.15.1 will have the fix.
