Does anyone here have any idea why Plex server is not logging “SOME” people as watching things?
I know Tautulli does that dumb ■■■■ but that is a third-party program and sorta expected. I have removed people that possibly were not inactive.

You’re going to need to be more specific.
Someone watches a video and it doesn’t show up on my server they had watched anything
Do you mean while they are watching or after they are done? If after, did they finish watching? Certain watched counts are only if they finish. If they stop part way, it isn’t counted.
One friend had no play history for 90 days which is definitely inaccurate. Looking back at fb messages I verified October 20th was the last time they used my server.
If you want to PM me your database and the name of the friend, I can check what that shows.
Also keep in mind that the play history is tracked on the user’s account ID, not their email. So if they recreated their account or if it’s a managed user and you removed and recreated it, the history would be with the old account and not the new one. You should see the username twice in the drop down if this is the case. Make sure you are looking at the right one.
I do have a similar problem. My friends will tell me that they watched a movie but the status page does not show it in their “view play history” while it does indicate that they did, for example, watch a movie for 1 hour 30 minutes. IMHO the “view play history” should show that they started watching a particular move even if they didn’t finish it because very few “finish” a movie by watching all the credits. It also seems that server restarts affect the history as well though I’m going to track that now to confirm. Is this some how a configuration error on my part or is it a bug?
I’m not alone then.
In this world we are seldom alone but often unanswered. I wonder if a server update might not fix the problem but I’m usually concerned about introducing a number of new issues.
