I have found 2 options/buttons in the help section of the web interface management of the plex server: “Download logs” and “Download database”.
I have read about the advanced manual method of backing up the database or about moving it to another machine, but I think it would be useful to have a “Database restore” button near the “Download database”. Also, a “Clean all logs” button I think could be useful.
I had a bad block event on my plex database hard drive, with a serious corruption effect. Trying the >dump, <dump manual method did not solve the issue. Fortunately, I’ve seen that I already have some automatic backups in the plug-in support database folder, so renaming one of those history backups solved the (big) issue, and that event led me to the proposals above.
