Dates in music Library reverting to 1969 or randomly

I tried everything and no matter what Plex refuses to display the date embedded
in the file itself. There was no issues before.
Will there be a fix for this issue?

Did you actually test this with this server version?

Or just with the previous one?

  1. which metadata agent is used in this library?
  2. which file format is used?
  3. if it is flac, which embedded meta tag is used for the date?

I have an issue with dates in Plex starting with Version 1.26.5715 as well as Version 1.26.5762. I posted in another forum and got a quick reply. Unfortunately, (and I am not alone) the suggestions haven’t worked for me so far.

Update to the latest version.

What behavior are you now seeing? Screenshots might be helpful.

If the latest is Version 1.26.1 (public release)
(I use the “Check for Update” for Public Release, not beta)

Thanks for the response. I went back to try to reproduce this issue for the suggested screenshots and using the datetime(, ‘unixepoch’) function now works. I suspect its because I did update my plex server to Version 1.26.1.5762 since last weekend.

That should have read:
datetime(epoch_to_convert, ‘unixepoch’) function

If you’re having an issue with dates, and you’re in the latest public versions, either update to this beta, or wait for the next public that includes the date fixes.

You can use a beta for a specific fix, then go back to regular releases after.

My. comment was just to clarify that when you said to update to the latest version, that you were referring to the beta, not the public release.
