Plex server version 1.26.2.5797 new media has a release date of December xx, 1899

Putting this in the standard support forum now that the version is public and Plex has seemingly ignored the issue in the beta forum

https://forums.plex.tv/t/plex-server-version-1-26-2-5797-new-media-has-a-release-date-of-december-xx-1899/

Please get this fixed… I really don’t like all the release dates showing as 1899 or 1900 for newly added content.

It could be worse, it could be February 7, 2036 like all of my TV episodes.

Ill be you have prefer local metadata enabled, the value that is in the air date field is probably malformed or non-standard and when plex is parsing it is getting a date before 1900 and that is probably defaulting to the oldest date allowed in plex then.

I have the same problem with all newly added episodes.

Originally Available: 1900-01-01

I don’t know if it’s related to this problem, but I also can’t click on the Recently Added to TV Shows tab anymore.

Error message:
“We’re having trouble finding this page. It might have been deleted”

Only error I can find in the console is:
“QueryParser: Invalid field ‘sectionID’ found, ignoring.”

Having a similar issue, but music albums added are added for Dec 31 for the year before they were released. Ex. an album can be released March 1, 2022, but Plex will set its released date to Dec 31, 2021. Only started happening the last few weeks, currently on 1.26.1.5798 and still occurring.

I also have the same issue the difference in the dates seems to be platform. I run Plex from QNAP and Windows (2 Servers)
QNAP shows 1900-01-01
Windows shows 2036-02-07

Same. Plex on QNAP, album dates in the display show the previous year to what is actually set in tags.

So something I have tagged as 1976 will have 1/1/1976 entered in the details (click the pencil edit button) but in the artist album list display will have 1975 as the year.
