Lets theoretically say someone runs a large collection of plex servers, LEGALLY providing appboxes. Now lets say those appboxes are doing a lot of scanning. and the host servers are having some problems with i/o on the nvme drives. I think if you were to copy the data from 1 server to an appbox db and the appbox has access to the metadata location should they not be able to share? Each server would have it’s own DB.
The first step would be having 1 source server, this server is getting all the updates and producing metadata.
now if one were to copy the DB of the SOURCE and remove things like users and such so it only contains the parts we want to insert into the destination db’s
Is it then possible to compare the 2 db’s pull the information on the newest media added ( metadata locations, file type etc ) then input the NEW data into each appboxes DB?
Which tables would be most important to copy?
