DD+ decoding

Server Version#: 1.40.2.8441
Player Version#: v.1.62.1.152 (Plex HTPC for Windows)

I never get DD+ encoded films to switch my receiver to correct audio decoding. It always selects Dolby Surround and not Dolby Digital plus. Movies in Dolby Surround, Atmos or DTS (all variants) are recognized correctly. This applies to Plex HTPC and also Kodi. If I do a test with e.g. Windows’ new and old Windows Mediaplayer then the correct audio decoding is recognized and the receiver switched accordingly.

Is Plex HTPC configured to passthrough DD+ audio?

Yes I have. Tested both via gui and mpv.conf.

Have you tried replacing the mpv.dll?

Yes I have, but I suspect it has something to do with my receiver. If I manually select DD+ Plex would always decode DD+ audio correctly after that. But if I turn off and on my receiver, very often I have to manually select DD+ once and all movies and episodes with DD+ encoded audio would decode correctly until I turn off and on my receiver again.
