Should we be moving from previous version to this?

Just checking, but the docker image will be updated accordingly as well right?

PlexMediaServer-1.23.5.4862-0f739d462-x86 worked for me on windows. thank you. Should i now be going to the latest?

If I’ve read what he’s said up to this point correctly, we should roll with this build through the weekend till they put together a more official one on Monday.

Just curious has plex media server for windows always been 32bit?

Yes it has. If memory serves, putting together a 64bit version doesn’t make sense based on the way it’s built, and what it does.

Yes it works fine for me (except for today). I guess I never really paid attention to whether it was 64 or 32 bit. Thanks.

Thank you! Syno DSM 6 here and everything seems to be back to normal.

I’m not sure if they’ll push this temp build or wait till the “long term fix” build next week. If you’re in need of a version that works right now, set your version tag to “1.23.3.4707-ebb5fe9f3” (without quotes ofc).

I have quite a big library. I installed the update but mine has been on updating library for awhile, the progress bar isnt moving. Is that normal?

mine is 55TB and it was relatively quick

Did you uninstall plex then reinstall with the fixed version?

I’m in the process of rolling out these releases.

1.23.5 will be out shortly, and 1.23.6 should follow later tonight.

We will be looking for a long term solution next week, but this should prevent any issues for the foreseeable future.

i did

Should we uninstall plex media server then install the fix or can we just run it without uninstalling first?

Mine is still stuck on “updating library please wait” is there anything else I can try? I hope my database isnt corrupt. I am sweating buckets of saltwater…

Send me the logs and I can take a peek.

I’m having the same issue of “updating library, please wait…” on a Win 10 install. Would it help if I used a backup of the database from before the bugged update?
