I have been getting crashes daily when running the latest version Version 1.15.8.1198.

Is it possible for me to try the dev build? I can supply logs of crashes as well if thatā€™s any help.

I cannot see any uploaded crash reports linked to your account for a 1.15.x server. I see that you are currently on 1.14.1.5488. It appears to be docker install.

Even if I found crash reports for your server, it would not be straightforward for me to offer and you to install a development build for the docker environment

Iā€™d have to say I agree - Iā€™m running pure Debian and Iā€™m not sure what would happen with an experimental build in another, containerized environment. Also, I would assume the dev build was given to me to test and not distribute.

Yes the account made with this forum user isnā€™t the one I was referring to. I have my server running under a different email although it hasnā€™t crashed in ~24 hours, will see how long it holds out for.

The username for the account that crashes is ebahaf (just added that username). Or maybe you can see which one via

MachineIdentifier=ā€œ936cee00-2262-4079-aea3-0fa266687ce5ā€

A MachineIdentifier for server gets converted to ProcessedMachineIdentifier before use

with regards to plex.tv account ebahaf there are no crash reports linked to the email account that I can see currently for this plex.tv account

In any case, the servers that are linked to this account appear to be running docker - it would not be straightforward to offer you a development build for docker. Sorry

Okay docker does complicate things a little bit, thanks for the information and hopefully the dev build will do the trick. :slightly_smiling_face:

Plex Media Server Beta 1.16.0.1220-147963d87 has just been released with the crashes fix

  • (Playback) The server could crash when a transcode session finished. These manifested as heap corruptions or double-frees (#9801 #9883 #9938 #9940 #9950)

Well I was hoping the 1.16 update would fix my crashes. Sadly it hasnt
