Hi. I installed Plex and received the "A problem has been detected with a core component of Plex Media Server." I have restarted and re-installed Plex.I also deleted the System and Framework bundles. I was able to run Plex once and linked it to my movies. However, I have since only received the error message and am unable to link to the TVShows file. Attached are my log files. Any suggestions?

Loads of errors on attempting requests to 127.0.0.1:32400
The error is always
URLError:
sa2000 - Thank you helping. I created a rule in the firewall allowing inbound and outbound communication for all network profiles. Unfortunately, that didn't work. Then I tried turning off my firewall and anti-virus software. No luck. I Googled the issue and found a suggestion to create a static IP and set up a port forwarding rule. That didn't work either. My final attempt was uninstall Plex, download a fresh file from the Plex website and do another install. No success. I've attached my latest logs after the re-install. Any suggestions?

When you launch the Media Server, is there a tray icon? If you navigate to http://localhost:32400/web/ you should be able to manage your server.
when I use this link that you provided, I can see my server and all my media.
However, I have no server Icon in any tray and when I sign into plex (both the website and the app for chrome) it says I have no servers and asks me to begin download. What is the fix for this please. I really really want to believe in Plex..... I just can't get it to work.
Running windows 7 64 bit
Need to dissect what you are saying to understand exactly what it is
when I use this link that you provided, I can see my server and all my media.
So when you open a browser and put url:
localhost:32400/web
it opens up Plex/Web App screen and does show your server name on the left column and lists your library sections and you can click on the library section and see the media you have added ? is this right ?
However, I have no server Icon in any trayRunning windows 7 64 bit
When you load Windows Task Manager and select Processes tab, do you see process named 'Plex Media Server.exe *32' running ?
If not, when you click 'Show Processes from All Users' button, does a Plex Media Server.exe *32 show up now ?
when I sign into plex (both the website and the app for chrome) it says I have no servers and asks me to begin download. .
So you are saying here - if you go to localhost:32400/web in a browser you see your server but if you go to plex.tv/web you do not see the server?
I do not understand what you mean by the app for chrome - please expand.
Could you do the following
Go to this url
localhost:32400/web
Click on Settings
Do you see Web Server Users Devices buttons?
Click on Server
Click on Connect in left column
Click on Show Advanced
Sign in to your plex.tv account within this Settings / Connect page
(Related Support pages are: Connect Connecting a Server Troubleshooting)
Could you now load plex.tv/web and sign in with the same account you used to sign the server through on the connect page
do you see the server now?

Is Windows User Account 'Juan' an administrator account ie in the Administrators group?
What anti malware ? Anti virus ? security software do you run?
There are two log files created during the install. one is the above and a more detailed one
'C:\Users\Juan\AppData\Local\Temp\Plex Media Server_20150220190636_0_pms.log'
This is normally too big for the forum and need to be zipped and uploaded to service like Dropbox and link added here
Yes , user Juan is admin
I ise sophos antivirus, but I tried also disconecting the antivirus
Tonight I will upload the other log file
Thanks

Ought to also double check the download file - unlikely it is the cause of an issue with such an error code - but no harm
So right click on
C:\Users\Juan\Downloads\Plex-Media-Server-0.9.1112.869-ab1cd47-en-US.exe
and select Properties and we need to see a 'Digital Signatures' tab present and for it to have a Plex Inc entry
If not, ,means incomplete download
So suggest repeating the install with Sophos Anti Virus disabled.
If it fails, capture both of the new log files. They would be named
C:\Users\Juan\AppData\Local\Temp\Plex Media Server_yyyymmddhhmmss_0_pms.log'
C:\Users\Juan\AppData\Local\Temp\Plex Media Server_yyyymmddhhmmss.log'
