I have lots of libraries:
Action Movies
Anime TV Shows
Family Videos
Photos
Music
Audio Books
Etc.
There is one library called Learning Videos that I want it in folder view as default. So when viewers go to the Learning Videos library it will show folders instead of pictures thumbnails. It is for this library only. Is this possible?
When I just tested this, it worked fine for me.
Make sure to enable Settings > Plex Web > General > Remember selected tab. Then Plex should automatically display this library in folder-mode.
Keep in mind this is a per-client configuration – so it won’t transfer to other clients.
It didn’t work.
I need all clients to see Learning Videos in folder mode in default. That’s because friends and family members don’t know there is a folder mode available on Plex. I don’t want to explain or confused them on setting up folder mode.
You cannot force clients to use only certain display modes (especially not clients of other users). If your organization doesn’t require too many levels you could structure your library using collections and this way avoiding the need to use a folder organization for good.
