Can I set PLEXAMP as my default Apple HomePod music device ?

I don’t think Apple lets you do this persistently. I’d like that ability too.

I thought the recent HomePod OS added this ability, the app just needed to be updated with the support for it? I know Pandora can now be set as the default music player on HomePod.

AppleTV 4K just got the ability to configure HomePods as their default audio output. (Ignoring that it used to work on other AirPlay speakers and now doesn’t … :green_apple:)

There’s no equivalent persistent default on iOS or macOS.

Pandora on HomePod is kinda the opposite; that’s when you say “Siri! Gimme a beat!”, and the HomePod plays music directly. You can choose it to play from Pandora instead of Apple Music.

I don’t think that’s something Plex/Plexamp can do. I’m almost certain it requires a single cloud library of media that Apple can connect to, which doesn’t apply with individual Plex user libraries.
