Looking at my movie library, several movie posters are wide and the poster is cut off. When I look at the metadata the wide poster is usually the first one and selected. I can change to a regular poster, but there are a lot to do. Is there a way to fix and rescan the library. Attached are screen shots to better depict what I am trying to explain. 
Some agents bring in non-standard posters.
TMDB is having trouble with ‘maintenance/other’ and this could be part of the reason.
There are at least two ‘kinda-standard’ artwork agents:
Cinematerial and Fanart.tv
If you have one or both enable those, refresh metadata and see if something changes.
Fanart.tv has been working well for me, while TMDB is correcting their issues.
