Default audio output for AppleTV is set to stereo-paired HomePods. Audio output formate is set to Auto (“Apple TV will automatically send Atmos, surround sound and stereo audio to speakers”)
This issue started after Plex player app on the AppleTV updated itself today.
Watched Plex yesterday on the same AppleTV on the same TVOS version and did not notice it.
When pressing pause, the video will pause immediately but audio will continue playing for two seconds.
Likewise when pressing play after video is paused, there will be a two second delay before anything begins playing.
An additional issue that I suspect is related: audio sometimes won’t play properly, a low muffled noise will emit. If I swipe down and choose the “convert automatically” the video file, audio will play fine.
Files are 720p H264 with 5.1EAC3 audio.
