[Bug Report] Plex Player on Apple TV delayed pause when connected to HomePods

I’ve done a ton on researching. The problem is when pausing content on an Apple TV connected to Apple HomePods, the audio is still playing 2 or 3 seconds while video is paused. Playing starts the video without the audio (that was already played) and then continuing normally.

  • It doesn’t happen when I use hdmi audio output.
  • It doesn’t happen with other apps like Netflix, Prime, Disney, Infuse, aTV+ or whatever app I tested.
  • It doesn’t happen with Infuse connected to the same Plex server

Somehow there is something wrong in the Plex app for Apple TV when dealing with bluetooth or HomePod connected audio.
It reproduces everytime (no reboot, reinstall, firmware upgrade by Apple helps).
