Server Version#: 1.27.1.5916 on Ubuntu
Player Version#: Plex for Mac Version 1.46.1.3056-ab91bdc0
I’ve removed some music from my Library by physically deleting the files via the command line in Ubuntu. I then re-scanned the Library and did “Empty Trash”. The delete music still shows up in Plex but is obvioulsy not playable.
How do I fix this?
All paths in the properties of the library must be:
- still existent
- accessible
- not completely empty
If there is even one which doesn’t fulfill these criteria, you will be unable to remove deleted items from your library.
Is this a recent change? I have ALWAYS removed the files from the OS and then re-scanned the library it has worked fine. In fact I don’t even see a way to delete items from the Plex interface itself.
No, it has always been that way.
The “delete” feature is locked by a global server setting.
Settings - Server - Library - ‘Show Advanced’ - “Allow media deletion”
Edit your library,
go to the tab “Add Folders”,
see which (and how many) folder paths are there.
Is there more than one?
