So when removing files and i forget to refresh server before adding the new ones it comes up unavailable. Ive emptied the trash but the only way ive been able to remove them is to manually delete them. please tell me there is an easier way…

You have to do the “Plex Dance”. (it is not a joke)
So i manually have to move the things affected? That sucks. It used to do it by itsself.
Edit your library
go to the “Add Folders” tab
verify that each and every folder path listed in there is still
- existent
- accessible by Plex
- not completely empty
All 3 of the above must be true. Otherwise “Empty Trash” won’t work.
everything is still there, so ill try to explain my issues more. so say i get an episode of a show each week in x265 format and then when the season if finished i get the whole season but in x264 and smaller size> I delete the x265 from my folder and put in the x264 once before it would just remove all traces of the x265 but now it just comes up unavailable. I have to move the folder out scan and then put it back.

No, i just removed it but i have issues on all drives i have about 4 of them and i have unavailable files on all.
