Deleting Empty Movie Collections

I have noticed that when I add movies to my server, PLEX may add collection tags to them, thereby creating a collection I may not want OR making a new collection when I already have one with past movies in it. An example would be adding a new Star Trek movie to my server, it creates another Star Trek collection when I already have one …

Im finding it hard to delete these collections, even when I empty all the tags out of the ones that PLEX created. Im starting to wind up with a lot of empty colletions and dulplicate ones.

I have even tried to replace the tags in the PLEX created collections with tags I want when creating a new collection I want. It creates a seperate collection and leaves the PLEX created collection with the new tags and no films

Any suggestions on how I can delete these unwanted?

You might also want to sanitize your files before adding them into Plex.
Plex will create a collection if you add a mp4 file where the ‘album’ meta tag has been set.
