Really pleased with the fix for the cert issue on on the Apple TV - well done all those who put hard work into it!

 

Just to note I'm running my Plex Server on a Mountain Lion Server and Plex Connect on another MacBook Pro on the network to avoid having to mess with my server DNS settings. It is important to create the cert key pair on the OS X Server/Plex Server computer. Then the "trailers.cer" can go on the Apple TV and the "trailers.pem" is copied to the "certificates folder" in "assets" on the "Plex Connect master" folder on the MacBook Pro.

Here is a thread about running PlexConnect on the same server as OSX server.

Also, no need for creating the cert keys on any specific computer. I did on an iMac while my PlexConnect is running on a mac mini. Just insure to put the right files in the right places.

Note that I used the device configurator app on the iMac.

What kind of issues do you encounter when you don't create the cert on the Mac where PMS is running?

As far as I can remember I created my cert on my MacBook Pro. PMS is running on my Mac Mini Server and PlexConnect on a RasPi and everything works just fine. :)
