Desktop Players Playback Error

Server Version#: 1.23.0.4497
Player Version#: all of them windows 10 64bit, Mac OS 10.12

HELP
None of my Laptops or Desktop computers will play anything, they all say Playback error.
But my Samsung smart Tv, Firestick and Ios phone and Android phones work ok.
Whats going on?

I don’t see the request for playback in your server logs so the issue might be with the Windows program. Can you try again and provide me the log from there. Windows/Mac app logs | Plex Support

Your logs show that it’s unable to create a secured connection to your server.

Can you restart your server and get me a new log?

  • restart PMS
  • wait 3 minutes without doing anything
  • grab logs
