Has anyone notice how slow the detecting intros scanning has been or that is the new thing?
Does the latest software updates require new hardware for better scanning?
I haven’t noticed any slowness. How long is it taking PMS to scan on your system? Mine takes about 10s per episode.
I have added on episode yesterday at 4pm EST and its 1.13pm today and it is still scanning.

What was the episode? Also, do you have your library and that series set to update when files are added or only during the scheduled tasks?
it is set to as a schedule task and when media is added.
The show is " FBI International" S02E10
I see it trying to detect intros for E09 and E10 but both seem to not work. PMS starts the process but then pauses them.
Can you try to optimize a file, any file? Then look and the conversion page in PMS. Do you see the conversion you just started showing as “Waiting” and a “RESUME” option on that page? If so, click it. Does the conversion start up? If yes, that was the problem. You can go ahead and cancel the conversion. Click on analyze for the season of that show and you should see the intro detection start to run.
