Device not found in Devices tab

Hi,
I want to sync media to a device (Android this time), and I want to do it from my web browser (Safari). In the devices tab, I can only see some of my devices, not all of them, and this Android device is not shown. If a choose the movie to sync, options>sync>devices, only a few devices are shown, and the one I want is not on this list. What is wrong?

Thanks!

When syncing, only devices signed into your account are shown since sync is a plex pass-only feature.

Family members are not shown?

Explain please.

OK, sorry
I have a Plex Pass, but my wife, sons… don’t
I would like to see in my devices my daughter’s tablet (for example), and choose which movie to sync.

Thanks in advance!

If your wife, sons, and daughter, have free accounts, and you have shared the server with them, and you have given them permission to sync from that account, they can do the sync request themselves. You have the control when you share the Library with them what they have access to. This is where you also specify whether they have sync permission .

The only time you can set the destination yourself to sync to, like you would do when you are cloud syncing, is if the destination device is signed into your account. PMS doesn’t allow one user to ‘push’ content to another user’s account. It is ‘pull-only’.

While the clients permit multiple accounts to use the device, they currently only let 1 sync to it. If another wishes to sync, the sync contents from the first user must be erased. This is because most devices themselves are single-user devices (tablet, phone, etc) and privacy protection is active in the client.

OK, I understand. They will do from their devices.

Is there any way to specify the destination (SD Card)? I’ve seen a few related post, but I don’t see a clear answer.

Thanks!

While I don’t own a device (android) with a card, I cannot tell you first hand but yes, it can be done.

I think, with device in hand, this will help you walk through it. (I hope anyway  )

Ok, I will try; thanks for the link!
