New to Plex and I have successfully linked several different devices and established a server with content, however, on the Xbox One app, I can not get past this error when trying to log in. I’ve had the web link confirm the Xbox as linked, but the app won’t sign in. Is there a workaround?
Hi there. Sounds like you may have experienced issues connecting to plex.tv at the time. Check your devices tab in Plex Web and remove any linked Xbox One devices that exist there already and then try relinking again.

Removing the xbox and re-linking definitely doesn’t fix this problem…
Update: started working again spontaneously after 2 days without any change on my end…
was working fine yesterday
then last night the server rebooted due to updates, so this morning the problem is back
plex on the xbox one comes up with error: diagnostic - MADRID. Tried several times with different codes to link it. same error all the time.
both media server and xbox one is online
media server signed into plex.
anyone have any suggestions one what I can do?
Hi there. Sorry for the annoyance, we’re investigating this issue with the plex.tv team to track it down.
I’ve been having the same issue. What I found as a workaround is going to plex.tv hit the hamburger button then if you’re already signed it hit launch. Once the interface comes up hti the cast button (to the left of your profile pick choose your xbox and it’ll cast to your tv. It works for as long as you’re using PLEX on the xbox until you exit the app.
Hello, I have experienced the same issue on my xbox one all in a sudden without any changes on my server and client
the problem happened from 12 hrs ago and it is not fixed until now.
I just paid the premium pass and this issue just arrived…
may I know how long it took for solving this issue please?
Besides, if it is really the unstability of xbox one, would you recommend any media center which would fix the issue permanently?

Came across this today. Hadnt seen any updates.
This worked for me. (after trying a few less fire-sale methods for about an hour…)
I purged plex, and then purged my xbox one x of plex.
I first logged into my plex and removed all authroized devices. I saw that I had several instances of multiple of the same device, first accessed at the same time…so i decided just to do a fresh start.
after that, i completely uninstalled plex from my xbox, followed that by a complete system restart…not just a turn the console off.
Waited for the machine to restart, then gave another 5 for everything to settle and make sure i was connected to the network. then i reinstalled plex.
Make sure you are on the same wifi network as your xbox (not on 4g, seperate network, etc) when you activate it, and it should work, or at least it did for me.
