What is the ETA on fixing Plex for Amazon 4K devices? Everything is still trying to transcode to 1080p. My 4K movies are totally unwatchable until this problem is resolved.
Meanwhile I’m still paying my monthly subscription.

For whatever reason, Plex probably isn’t going to fix a lot of bugs on Android and Fire devices. Some bugs have been present for over two years. It is a good idea to downgrade to a working Plex client version until the Plex Team gets their act together.
the devs are looking into it just one of those that is hard to find the cause of.
And how do you downgrade on a fire Cube?
Download the 6.12 apk and sideload it. Make sure you disable auto-updates (or modify the apk sufficiently enough that it won’t auto-update).
I keep getting unsupported CPU error message.
Make sure the apk matches the device.
I finally figured out which one is needed which was arm 7A.
I ended up installing the version from January considering it was working fine then. So now I’m running version 7.27.1.15203 instead of 7.28.0.15501
