This might be a niche use case but I would like to see a plex “buffer bar” on the server side for direct play clients. The client shows the amount of the video file it has received from the server as a light grey bar to the right of your current location in the video. However, the server does not show this status as it does with transcoding clients.
Our use case is we do not want to restart or take the server down when someone is watching something but can judge it based on the amount of “buffer” that each person has if we will have time to do what we need to.
