Old Mac OS user here (High Sierra 10.13.6).
After an auto update of Plexamp it is unusable on my iMac. I found the dmg file for version 4.0.3 (which suits my needs) however after every new install eventually an update makes it unusable again. Is there a workaround? Appreciate the help. Thanks
You should be able to restrict permissions to the app itself. I’m currently using a non-admin account on my Mac, so whenever there’s app updates I’m required to confirm those with a separate admin account.
It should also be possible to block certain network requests… though from what I’ve seen/heard this might be trickier as Plex is using the same domain/url for those update checks across their different apps, so you’ll need to filter on the actual content.
