Whenever an update occurs on the Plex server running on a headless mac, the plex app asks for a password, and is unusuable until it is entered. This occurs when the plex app automates, or when autoupdate is turned off and the update is done through the AppleTV app. Is there a way to have the plex server update itself without having to remote in to the server to type in the admin password?

I have similar problem. Placing the Plex apps in the /Users/username/Applications/ folder may resolve the issue. Setting “ask me” for Plex & Plex Server updates is ignored (doesn’t solve the problem). Otherwise, Plex is fantastic. Macmini6,2 running Ventura 13.1 on standard non-admin account.
