I need to stop the auto thumbnails appearing as Porn thumbnails and backgrounds appearing for our kids home videos…
I’m new to PLEX and have a NAS Drive connected and use Plex to view our home videos on the TV… but this has me worried - any suggestions ?

When you’re loading your home videos, use an Other Videos type library with the Personal Media agent. This will only use whatever metadata is written in the actual files (e.g. for mp4) or local posters.
You’ll only need the Movies or TV Shows type libraries for media for which Plex should lookup online data (e.g. regular Hollywood productions).
Ah… so Plex thinks it’s real movies and is being helpful finding the imagery for us… like iTunes used to do.

Correct… except of course it won’t find any matches for your home videos (or take some very bad guesses for what adult movies those might be 
). Therefore the distinction for the different library types.

Yeah was a shock - luckily I caught sight of it before our youngest spotted it on the TV while we were watching video of him as a toddler… nearly had “why has that lady got her head between that ladies legs dad?” - could’ve been worse.
