Disable Photo slideshow!

For many years people have been requesting that either the speed of a slideshow can be changed or be able to disable the slideshow completely.
I for one find the automatic slideshow to be very very annoying, I want to be able to advance to the next photo when I please and not by some hard coded speed designed by someone who obviously has no understanding of how people want to view their pictures.
Some people want a slideshow, other do not.
What we all want is to be able to choose the speed and to be able to disable it.

This does not seem to be a have thing to code so why has it been completely ignored for many years?

This basic feature needs to be added ASAP or at least respond and keep us up to date as to whether it will be done and when it will be done or whether you choose to ignore these requests made by many people.

Any further updates or BETA versions of PLEX available that include setting the slideshow duration (in seconds)?
The current slideshow duration is pretty fast…would like to be able to set slideshow duraton to 7-8 seconds.

this feature should be a ‘basic’ feature of ANY slideshow - so adjust the timings. yet, there doesn’t seem to be any interest.

can anyone share if there’s any news on this item ?

Fr the functionality isn’t even that of a slideshow, it’s a video of an album that you can pause if necessary. The app on a Roku TV will allow one photo to be selected for display, but we ran into timeout issues nullifying that.
