Discover and Browse broken for main Plex account — new account works fine

I’m having persistent issues with my main Plex account where:

The Browse tab shows “Something went wrong” at all times

Discover and global search return only local results — no streaming availability (e.g. for “Dune” or “Paddington”)

This issue occurs at https://app.plex.tv/desktop

What I’ve tried and confirmed:

I am using the Home Admin account with Plex Pass

Online Media Sources and Streaming Services are properly configured and enabled

Local library features (Live TV, DVR, local media) all work correctly

Discover works properly at https://watch.plex.tv

I created a new Plex account as a test:

Discover, Browse, and streaming results all work correctly in that new account

Same browser, server, and streaming services used

My Plex Media Server is running on Linux (QNAP) and functioning normally

The issue appears isolated to this one Plex account and its cloud metadata/session state

I initially contacted support via email and was redirected to the forums.
Could this please be reviewed or escalated to Plex staff? It seems to be a broken metadata or cloud session issue on this specific account.

Thanks in advance for any help or insight.

Settings - ‘Show Advanced’ - Plex Web - Debug - “Restore Defaults”

Hello OttoKerner, thank you very much for that reply. I’d not spotted that recess of the settigs before!!

It fixed Discover and the broken bit of What’s On (tapping a future scheduled programme or movie wouldn’t display any info).

Therefore the final broken bit is Live TV → browse tab. Displays " Something went wrong
An unexpected error occurred." - both on Plex Web and Plex Windows.

Thank you.

It seems the latest update (Version 1.42.1.10060) fixed the Browse tab in Plex Web / Plex Local. :tada:
