All of my local media is inaccessible with Discover

Went to Plex this evening for the first time since the new Discover feature was launched. On my Android Sony TV I am unable to get to any of my local media, which Plex has always allowed us to watch, and instead we are only presented with options to watch content on paid streaming services.

I have been using Plex for years and paid for a lifetime pass. Plex is now completely broken for us. Is there a way to get back to what we had a week ago? Can I revert back to the previous version of Plex Media Server to get there?

Thanks.

Are your local libraries using the current-generation of Plex clients (e.g. Plex Movie or Plex TV Series)? Only those items will show up on your watchlist etc.
Sometimes users have changed the library agent but haven’t yet refreshed that library’s metadata… in that case items might not yet have been updated to the new agent and its unique id.

Edit: I take it your media is still regularly available through your existing libraries… it might just be missing from „Where else to watch“ in the search?

Are you seeing the same as this user’s screenshot here?

That’s not what we’re seeing. We do see “TV Shows” in the sidebar, but it looks like some shows are not being offered by Plex anymore, even though they were before and even though they are still physically present in the media library. And the only thing that has changed is Plex.

I’m not really sure what you mean. You see your server’s TV shows library in side bar but some of the shows you know you have the files for are not showing up in the library? That would have nothing to do with Discover. If you dont want to use Discover for now you can just unpin it from the home screen sidebar.
